Step into a world of imagination and adventure as What A Do Theatre brings the beloved classic Alice in Wonderland to life on stage. Follow Alice down the rabbit hole into a whimsical world filled with unforgettable characters, curious encounters, and plenty of surprises!

INTO TO THEATRE CAMP
June 7–11 • 9:00 AM–2:00 PM • Ages 6–10 • $200
New to theatre? This is the perfect place to start!
Theatre is so much more than memorizing lines and performing onstage. Intro to Theatre Camp allows young performers to slow down, explore, play, and build the foundational skills that make theatre fun, welcoming, and successful. Our traditional one-week musical camps move at a fast pace as students learn a full show from start to finish. Intro to Theatre Camp is intentionally different. Rather than focusing on putting on an entire production, this camp gives beginners the time and space to discover what theatre is all about.
Throughout the week, campers will:

Play theatre games that build confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork

Learn the basics of putting on a show, from auditions and rehearsals to characters,

costumes, props, and the stage

Explore acting, singing, movement, improvisation, and storytelling

Practice foundational performance skills in a fun, low-pressure environment

Learn how to work together as an ensemble

Discover the many different elements and jobs that make a theatrical production possible

Learn a song from Madagascar Kids and receive two complimentary tickets to see the full production!
TWO CAMPS. TWO DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES. ONE GREAT THEATRE FOUNDATION.
Intro to Theatre Camp explores and builds skills. Our one-week musical camps are designed to apply those skills while creating a complete production. That means campers can choose the experience that fits them best — or do both! A child who is brand new to theatre may enjoy starting with Intro to Theatre Camp before jumping into a musical. A returning performer can use Intro to Theatre to strengthen foundational skills, try something new, and build confidence before taking on the faster pace of a performance camp. Whether your child is stepping onstage for the very first time or has already discovered a love for theatre, Intro to Theatre Camp gives them room to grow. At What A Do Theatre, we believe every child learns differently. This camp creates an additional entry point into theatre for young people who may thrive with more time to explore, practice, and discover — while also giving experienced young performers an opportunity to strengthen the skills they already have.
