What A Do Theatre Mentorship Program
Each summer, What A Do Theatre offers a mentorship training program in conjunction with our 1-week camp. The mentorship program is available for students entering the 9th grade at the start of the fall semester through 2 years removed from high school.
Ex) For our 2026 mentorship program, if you are in high school during the 2026-2027 school year for graduated high school within the last two years, then you are eligible for the program.
Our program is designed to provide observation and training opportunities within multiple areas of theatrical production with trained professionals. This can include directing, music directing, choreographing, costuming, set design/build, and more. The program especially creates opportunity for youth leadership, as our trainees work closely with staff and our campers for the production. Participants in the program are guided to support and assist our young campers as they learn about reading music, learning choreography, creating characters on stage, and socializing with other campers that have a common interest in performing.
The Youth Mentorship Training Program is one of many areas where What A Do Theatre centers youth voice in educational opportunities and feedback for our programming.
Applications for our Youth Mentorship Training Program for “Artistocats KIDS” will open in March and will be due early May. Application link and other details for this program will be posted in March.
