What’s the Value of What A Do?
When you choose to invest in a theatre program for your child, you want to know that it’s worth it — that they’re learning, growing, and having an experience that’s truly special.
At What A Do Theatre, we’re proud to offer professional-level opportunities that help young performers shine — all while keeping programs accessible to families in our community.
🎭 Program Investment:
Our youth programs range from $225–$300 per production.
That fee includes everything a performer needs — there are no hidden add-ons or surprise costs. Every participant receives:
✅ Professional show photography (including headshots)
✅ A show shirt
✅ A professional video recording (for shows that allow video licensing)
👩🎓 Professional Mentorship:
We go beyond just putting on a show. Our youth actors train under local artists and educators who hold degrees in theatre, music, or education — or bring years of industry experience to the table.
We proudly pay our creative staff competitive stipends to ensure the highest quality instruction for our students.
❤️ Safety & Support:
We believe in creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for all performers.
Every production includes staff members trained in:
CPR & First Aid
Youth/Adult Mental Health First Aid
Stage Intimacy (to help set boundaries and ensure comfort onstage)
🎟️ Keeping Theatre Accessible:
While participation fees help cover production costs, we rely heavily on grants and community sponsors to keep our programs strong and sustainable.
We’re proud to say we have never turned a student away due to financial hardship — and we remain committed to keeping theatre accessible for everyone.
